I’m doing an art project. I need Bible stories that show off the following descriptions (not one that fits all, just one story for each one, for example wisdom is the story of Soloman, etc.)
They are:
Sloth
pride
avarice
hope
Thanks!
More Information:
Sloth : 2 Kings: The story of Samuel
Pride: Nebuchadnezzar
avarice: The Rich young Ruler
hope: Jesus Christ
pride, King Neb.-He stood at the rooftop and looked over Babylon and spoke…..LOOK at what I have done, (boasting with pride at the richness of his land, the mighty walls, the mighty buildings, the mighty army, stocks, goods, ) and within one single hour, his kingdom was overthrown…by the persia-media……because of his pride.
God warned him of this, and in the end it was his downfall….for he said "I am, and besides me there is no other" but God showed him otherwise.
Try actually reading, like everybody else has to do.
One time at band camp………
Sloth – instead of making enough land for everybody, God tells his chosen people to just genocide the people already in the land he wants them to live in.
Pride – God commands people to kill family members who ask you to come worship other gods.
Avarice – God encourages people to sacrifice stuff for him, knowing it would cause the first murder in the world.
Hope – I hope you get the point.
Hope = Noah’s Ark (the dove, the rainbow, etc)
One of the signs of the prophet to come from Paran (Mecca) is that he will come with "ten thousands of saints" (Deuteronomy 33:2 KJV). That was the number of faithful who accompanied Prophet Muhammad to Paran (Mecca) ..
Muhammad was predicted to come in the Gospel of John:
Just a quick note, the Arabic word "Muhammad" is an expression which means "The honorable one" or "The glorified one" or "The admirable". Prophet Muhammad was the first in the Middle East to be named "Muhammad". Below, you will see how Jesus in today’s Gospel of John had called this human Prophet which he predicted his comming "The honorable one".
Jesus in the Greek Bible used the Greek word "Periklytos" which means the admirable or glorified one. He called that predicted human prophet "Periklytos". This word corresponds exactly to the Arabic word "Muhammad" which also means the "admired one" or "glorified one." In other words, "Periklytos" is "Muhammad" in Greek.
Noah’s Ark
the sloth was one of the animals
Noah was proud of his work on the ark
because of Man’s avarice, God decided to wipe mankind from the face of the earth
when the dove brought the olive branch brought hope to Noah that God would once again be a loving God
the story of job for faith. judas Iscariot for greed.
Sloth – 1 Samuel 2 Eli’s sons
Pride – 2 Chronicles 26 story of King Uzziah
Avarice – 2 Kings 5 Gehazi
Hope – Isaiah 36-38 Hezekiah
Jesus is the best for hope
the Pharisees and Sadducees (forgive the spelling} for pride
The Bible is full of all kinds of people.
