Can anyone help me with the how i should put the story? Because beowulf is a very vulgar poem and i have to put it into a type of story for elementary students..
any ideas?

Beowulf was a knight. He was very strong.
His friends across the sea needed help, so he went with some of his friends to help them.
He defeated the bad monster and save all of his friends, and made the bad monster into a good monster.
He then went under the sea to borrow a giant sword from the mother of the now good monster, who had gone down earlier to turn his mother good.
His friends across the sea gave him presents.
years pass
He protected his people from bad people.
His people elected him King.
He then went to go turn an evil dragon good, and that dragon gave him treasure, but Beowulf died of old age and he was buried with his treasure in a tower that Grendel, Grendel’s Mother, The Dragon, and his people all worked together to build.

Include illustrations. I realize its not exact, but it fits for kids perfectly.
Make Grendel kind of like the big, bad wolf or the boogie man.
