How "Ring around the Rosie" refers to the Bubonic Plague? How "Humpty Dumpty" refers to a Cannon who was blown up in a battle? How "Baa,Baa,Black Sheep" either refers to the slave trade or the wool tax? How "London Bridge is falling down" refers to child sacrifice,or a viking attack in which a bridge was burned down? How many Nursery Rhymes refer to important people?
More Information:
Ring around the Rosie doesn’t refer to the Bubonic Plague.
I’ve read multiple sources that have debunked it (snopes.com, mainly).

That explanation didn’t even appear until after about 1951.
Anyways, yes, I did.
I love how I got thumbs downs just because I was informed about the Ring around the Rosie nursery rhyme. Did I say the others were wrong? No.

and as for the others? probably false as well. too lazy to look it up though, you can use snopes though, its accurate.
but anyways- nursery rhymes are simply nonsense stories that rhyme.
people just overanalyze everything
Yeah, I knew that. But what I didn’t understand is why someone made it so little kids could sing and be merry about such depressing things.
i only knew about ring around the rosie. wow, who knew things for children could be so horrid!
I seem to recall that "Jack Horner" was a courier who pilfered a land deed from his courier pouch (the "plumb" in his "pumpkin pie").
yes i did
i wrote an essay on it for one of my classes
and a lot of people were stunned by it, they couldn’t believe that what the songs meant
but i thought it was kinda funny and interesting more so.
all those kiddie songs we sang as a child were just down right dirty or violent , but the words covered up the true meaning
