what i mean by near sacrifice is for example, when abraham was asked to kill his son, isaac, but God stopped him at the last minute. any other bible story (old or new testament) is fine. thanks x

All Bible stories show the bias of the writer, like Paul with his dislike of homosexuals, so you can’t expect to find real truth in any Bible story.
