im looking for a lot of nursery rhymes that relate to real life events. For example ring around the rosey would relate to the black plague/dark ages. i would prefer it to be during the medevil time period

Listening to my kid’s CD today and realized how funky the lyrics were. Ring around the rosie and London Bridge… Jack and Jill…. EEP. LoL I know what they all mean (most have to do with history…ex Black Plague) But why do we still sing them to our kids? Thanks Emina! What an awesome answer!
