I’m auditioning for a show coming up, and I need a good audition song. I’m a kid, so please give me some songs for my age. I’m auditioning for a lead in Charlotte’s Web (a musical version) and I want to be Wilbur, Charlotte, or Fern. Any songs you can think of would be good?

**NEW INFO**
My theater group doesn’t like us to repeat songs from old shows. Here are the songs I know and the shows that weren’t written by the Co. writers that I’ve been in
Music Man
Annie
Seussical he Musical
I’ve been in 6 shows but half of them were written by people that work for the theater group.
Remember, I’m a girl really going for Wilbur, a boy role, so I need a fun song that shows off my voice. I have a very wide range, but prefer singing alto.
Thanks!!
Oh wait, there is more…
They don’t like people to sing stuff from any past shows, whether I was in it or not.
So here’s what they have done.
You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown
Some version of "Cinderella"
Annie
Beauty and the Beast
Music Man
Seussical the Musical
Tom Sawyer (not sure if that was written by the company or not)
Wizard of Oz
Tomorrow from Annie.
Over the Rainbow from the Wizard of Oz
Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables or maybe a song from Secret Garden?
you should try for normal disney songs like a whole new world from aladdin. the song from the little mermaid. simple songs that are classics
"Defying Gravity" from Wicked
"Tomorrow" from Annie might be a bit of a drag but if you know how to project and make it your own, well and good.
"Where is Love" – study Lea Salonga’s version. Her voice would be nice for your age range.
Best of luck!
Tomorrow (Annie)
Maybe (Annie)
Broadway baby (Follies)
My Favorite Things (The Sound Of Music)
Whistle Down The Wind
Home (The Wiz)
Born To Entertain (Gypsy)
If We Hold On Together
Colors Of The Wind
Castle On A Cloud (Les Miz)
You can use any Disney song – Part Of Your World, A Whole New WOrld, Reflection, Can You Feel The Love Tonight
The Greatest Love Of All
Over The Rainbow (Wizard of Oz)
When You Wish Upon A Star
Rainbow Connection
Someone’s Waiting For You
Or check The Broadway Kids’ recordings.
try what you like .or put a paper in a hat with the names on them and chose
I like the songs from the movie"The Sound of Music" and "Mary Poppins"(with Julie Andrews) best…
